The health of an ecosystem is maintained by its plants and animals. When species become endangered, it is a sign of an ecosystem’s imbalance. ERuDeF is a species focused organization with a mandate to promote long-term survival of endemic and threatened species. The main conservation initiatives of ERuDeF includes, community conservation based programmes, wildlife tracking and monitoring, facilitating law enforcement through creation of protected areas. ERuDeF works in collaboration with the government, non-profits, international organisations, local communities, academic institutions and volunteers to protect and restore population levels of the threatened species, and drive awareness campaigns at micro and macro levels.
