Experienced documentary filmmakers with a solid background of working on wildlife, environment and community stories may share their portfolio and resume. Following criteria should be considered by the applicants/consultants before applying:
- Minimum of five years’ proven work experience in producing high quality, short films/reportage/documentary in Cameroon and/or Central African countries including writing, producing, directing and editing;
- The consultant is expected to provide all equipment and personnel required to plan, execute and complete the assignment;
- Ability to represent concepts, qualitative information and key messages using high quality, visually attractive graphics;
- Experience in the wildlife, environmental and development sectors in Cameroon will be an added advantage;
- Ability to operate in (political) conflict environment.
- Ability to effectively apply high production and technical standards for the purpose of maintaining high levels of professionalism;
Each application package should include the following:
- Cover letter with the applicant’s current contact information. The letter should be no longer than two pages;
- Proposal for the consultancy assignment with methodology; addressing the selection criteria including how the candidate’s previous experience matches the consultancy objectives as well as their interest for the position.
- CV of the consultant (including detailed work experience, education/degrees, and details of similar assignments);
- Professional References (minimum of three, with complete contact information).
- Ability to operate in (political) conflict environment.
