Cross River Gorilla Expedition to the Lebialem Highlands, Cameroon

Have a firsthand experience of the Tofala and Mak/Betchou rainforests in the Lebialem Highlands, South West Cameroon – a home to about 60 cross river gorilla and 200 Nigeria-Cameroon Chimpanzees alongside elephants, drills and a range of other endangered animal species.

Cameroon is a growing touristic destination in Africa with about one million tourists a year. Besides wildlife tracking, there are exciting mountain hiking experience, jungle hiking, bird watching, cultural festivals and much more

You will be immersed in Africa cultural experience, scenic sites alongside tracking Cross River gorillas and Cameroon-Nigerian Chimpanzees in the wild

The cross river gorilla expedition to the Lebialem Highlands last either for 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks. Longer durations are welcome.

Volunteering Cost

The volunteering cost stands at US $1020, US$1867 and $6325 for the 2-week, 4-week and 8-week expeditions respectively with accommodation, food and all transport whilst on the project, allowances to field guides and porters whilst trekking in the forest and Limbe wildlife centre gate fee inclusive
