The Director of the ERuDeF Institute of Biodiversit in Buea informs the general public that the ERuDeF Institute is currently accepting applications for 20 places into its 2nd batch of Conservation Management Specialists Training Program. The fields being offered are Biodiversity Management (BM), Agroforestry Management (AgfM), Environmental Journalism (EnvJ), Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), NGO and Fundraising Studies (NFS).
The prospective candidates should hold a 1st degree, Masters I or II and/or Master degree in Zoology, Botany, Forestry, environmental sciences, sociology &Anthropology, Women & Gender, Geography, Journalism, Law and Economics. Candidates currently conducting their Master level research in any of the above fields are also eligible to apply. Applicants with at least a year of experience will be preferable. Applicants should include a letter of motivation, copies of diplomas and a CV.
The selected candidates based on the study of files will be invited for interview on Tuesday, 30 September 2014 in Buea. Successful candidates will undergo an 18-24 month professional training course at the ERuDeF Institute of Biodiversity… and other selected field locations and partners across the country. Successful graduates will be directly recruited into ERuDeF national and international partners’ programs in Cameroon and elsewhere. The last year of the program is practically spent in industry interspersed with seminars and concluded with a thesis defense. It is a professionally and academically intensive program with a 45 hour week. All the courses are being offered in English.
The processing fee and the application forms costing 20 000CFA are obtainable from all ERuDeF offices in Cameroon, its local partners in the SW, West and NW Regions and from the ERuDeF Institute’s main campus at Mile 18, Muea Road, Buea, SW Cameroon.
